The Performance movie unfolds in the shadow of 1937 New York, where Harold May, a tap dancer with big dreams, and his troupe struggle for recognition. Their luck changes in the Balkans, catching the eye of a mysterious German, Mr. Fugler, who lures them to Berlin with promises of fame.

Tensions rise when they're lavishly welcomed, but Harold senses something sinister. As the curtain rises, the troupe learns their audience is none other than Adolf Hitler himself. Trapped in a web of deception, with escape seemingly impossible, Harold must decide whether to dance for the devil or risk everything for their freedom.
